With two and a half years of experience, Mike brings a strong sense of purpose to his role as a pest control technician. Having always been comfortable around bugs, insects, and rodents, he found his calling in a field where he can solve problems and help others. Mike specializes in nest removals as well as rodent removal and prevention, and his favorite part of the job is helping people who are unable to handle these problems on their own.
When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending his time camping, fishing, playing games, practicing guitar, and reading graphic novels. He also has a talent for painting and drawing, something most people don’t know about him. Mike loves to relax by watching shows with his wife, and for a local activity, he recommends Marsh Creek for boat rentals and kayaking. He and his wife have two daughters, aged 11 and 13.
Mike’s professional philosophy is all about patience and attention to detail. He’s learned that taking your time and thinking before you act is crucial, as there is always a better way to approach a problem. His advice to newcomers in the field is to always be aware of the small details, as they can either complicate or simplify the job. Mike finds the most rewarding part of his work is making someone’s life simpler by doing his absolute best. His favorite pest to deal with is bald-faced hornets because he finds them to be the most aggressive yet easiest to handle, while his least favorite is yellow jackets because they’re always difficult to reach. What he loves most about working for Prodigy is the great opportunity he’s been given.
