Termites don’t announce themselves with a buzz or a bite. They work quietly—through mud tubes, hollowed wood, and soil pathways—until a floor softens, a door sticks, or a home inspection raises a red flag. At Prodigy Pest Solutions, we inspect, identify, and treat termite pressure with a clear plan built for Pennsylvania homes.
We’re a family-owned company led by President Matt Kelley, an Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE), serving Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester Counties. Call 267-603-1811 or contact us to schedule a termite inspection.
In the Delaware Valley, subterranean termites are the species homeowners encounter most often. They live in the soil, forage for cellulose, and move into foundations, crawlspaces, and framing when moisture and wood contact give them an opening.
Termite damage is structural—and typically not covered by homeowners insurance. Early detection and ongoing protection beat waiting for visible damage.
Whether you own a twin in Philly, a ranch in Delaware County, or a Chester County property with a crawlspace, soil, wood, and moisture can line up against you. Prodigy starts with a thorough inspection, then matches treatment to what we find—not a one-size pitch.
Many infestations stay hidden until wood is already compromised. These clues deserve a professional look:
Swarmers in spring are a classic subterranean termite signal in our climate. If you see wings or tubes, leave evidence in place—photos and intact tubes help us assess activity.
Every property starts with a detailed termite inspection. We look for active foragers, conducive conditions (wood-to-soil contact, moisture, poor drainage), and pathways into the structure—then recommend a tailored plan.
What Prodigy offers:
Need broader coverage? See our residential protection plan and services. Commercial properties can start at commercial.
Which approach is “better It depends on construction, access, activity, and your goals.
Advance bait systems place monitored stations around the perimeter. Termites find the bait, feed, and share it through the colony—disrupting growth and foraging over time. Prodigy installs Advance stations as part of our termite program, including concrete stations where needed, then returns to scan, monitor, and re-bait.
Liquid treatments create a treated soil zone or target known entry points. They can fit well when access allows and inspection points to a barrier-style strategy.
We don’t push one tool for every house. After inspection, we explain tradeoffs—monitoring cadence, landscaping or hardscape disturbance, and how each method fits your foundation—so you choose with confidence.
Buying or selling in the Delaware Valley? A Wood Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection is a common part of the real-estate process. Lenders and buyers often want a clear report on termites and other wood-destroying insects before closing.
Prodigy provides professional WDI / termite inspections for transactions—supporting the deal with facts, not scare tactics. If activity or conducive conditions show up, we outline next steps for you, your agent, and the other party.
Under contract or listing soon? Call 267-603-1811 early so the inspection isn’t a last-minute scramble.

We’re local to the Pennsylvania / Delaware Valley market—family-owned, with Matt Kelley as president—focused on homes and properties that need reliable termite inspection and control.
Yes. In Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley, subterranean termites are the most prevalent species homeowners deal with.
Typically no. Termite damage is usually excluded, which is why inspection and protection matter.
Stations go around the perimeter. Termites feed on the bait and share it in the colony, helping stop colony growth. We monitor and re-bait on return visits.
Swarmers can mean a colony is nearby. An inspection confirms whether activity is at your property and what protection makes sense.
Yes. We provide WDI / termite inspections commonly used in real-estate transactions across our service counties.
Follow-up visits include scanning, monitoring, and re-baiting as needed. We’ll set expectations after your initial install.

First, we conduct a thorough inspection of your property, identifying areas of concern and conditions that could lead to future issues. Based on this, we recommend a tailored solution for your termite problem. During the initial visit, we install the Advance® Termite Bait System (ATBS) around your home’s perimeter, placing bait stations every 8-10 feet in soil and using Advance Concrete Bait Stations (CBS) for concrete or blacktop areas. These stations are installed beneath the surface by drilling a 3-inch hole, which is then covered with a tamper-proof cover matching the surface. In follow-up visits, we scan, monitor, and re-bait all stations.
After installation, termites quickly find and feed on the bait stations, which are designed to be discovered faster than leading competitors’ stations (2012 University of Delaware, Graduate Research Dissertation). The termites carry the bait back to their nest, where it is shared with the colony. The bait prevents reproduction and halts colony growth, effectively eliminating both foraging termites and the entire colony.
– Inspection and re-baiting of all termite stations.
– Each station’s unique barcode scanned by service professional for detailed documentation.
– Notes taken on any conducive conditions observed.
– Immediate email reports sent to you summarizing findings.
