Much of Springfield was built out after World War II, including the Stoney Creek development of stone-front houses started in 1949. The typical home in the 19064 ZIP was built around 1955, and 86% are single detached houses (U.S. Census). Settled foundations and old utility openings let mice in. Penn State Extension notes a mouse can fit through a hole about the size of a dime, so our rodent service seals gaps and holes smaller than a half dollar.
Springfield is bordered by Darby Creek and Crum Creek. In the Delaware County Health Department's 2020 to 2025 tick surveys, Smedley Park produced 276 blacklegged (deer) ticks, the most of any site listed. Tick service is seasonal, so text us in the spring.
The Delaware County Health Department reported West Nile virus-positive mosquito samples collected in Springfield Township in the summer of 2023. In2Care mosquito stations help cut down backyard mosquitoes.
Baltimore Pike through Springfield, long known as the Golden Mile, and the Springfield Mall area are full of restaurants and shops. Our commercial team is AIB-certified for food safety and offers a free commercial evaluation, on site or by phone.
Penn State Extension says eastern subterranean termites are found throughout Pennsylvania, and swarms usually appear between February and June.
