Lansdowne was once a vacation spot for Philadelphians, and many of its Victorian homes were later converted into apartments. About 39% of homes in the 19050 ZIP were built before 1940 (U.S. Census). Older foundations and shared basements let mice in and let German cockroaches and bed bugs move between units.
In the 19050 ZIP, about 41% of homes are twins and rowhomes, 25% are in small buildings of 2 to 19 units, and about 41% of households rent (U.S. Census). Our roach and rodent jobs include 2 follow-ups, and our bed bug heat treatment is harmless to your family and pets.
In 2025, the Delaware County Health Department counted 9 West Nile virus-positive mosquito samples in Lansdowne, the second most in the county. In 2024, positive samples came from traps at Reservoir Park and the Penn Wood ballfield. In2Care mosquito stations help cut down backyard mosquitoes.
Lansdowne has two historic districts on the National Register, Lansdowne Park and the Henry Albertson Subdivision, plus a sycamore that is around 350 years old. Big old trees and wood porches bring carpenter ants, carpenter bees and hornets.
Restaurants and shops in the business district near Lansdowne Avenue and Baltimore Pike need steady pest control. Our commercial team is AIB-certified for food safety and offers a free commercial evaluation, on site or by phone.
